ABOUT ME
A spiritual woman with both feet on the ground

My name is Selva Cristóbal and I am a highly sensitive, highly empathetic woman with exceptional abilities who, ten years ago, ‘hung up my hat’ as a psychologist so that I could talk to my clients outside the clinical and healthcare setting.

Why did I do it? Because those of us who share the sensitivity, depth of thought and emotional intensity that accompany these traits need spaces and professionals with whom we can explore our spiritual world, just as naturally as we work on the physical, mental and emotional aspects of our lives.

My mission is to act as a mirror for you and guide you along the fascinating path of self-realisation and personal sovereignty. To this end, I offer you everything I am, know and feel, through my knowledge, experience and connection with the spiritual realm.

Knowledge

I hold three university degrees: Psychology, Social Work, and Social and Cultural Anthropology. I completed a Master's degree in Research on New Trends in Anthropology and obtained the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude, qualifying me to teach at secondary school level.

In the UK, I qualified as an EFT-Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner and, over the years, I have trained in disciplines such as Gestalt therapy, the Enneagram, astrology, family constellations, shamanism, A Course in Miracles (ACIM), Reiki, mindfulness and self-compassion. I also draw on the wisdom of the more than 300 books I have read, which make up my library on human and spiritual development.

My perspective on religion is syncretic. I study Kabbalah, Zen Buddhism and Taoism on an ongoing basis, integrating spiritual philosophies from different parts of the world and the teachings of great spiritual masters who have had a profound influence on my career.

Experience

For years, I worked as a psychologist in my private practice, supporting individuals and couples through their journeys. I have delivered workshops and given talks in four countries, and I led a women’s circle for three years, driven by my passion for building meaningful community ties.

I have also worked as an international aid worker with streetchildren in the Philippines and with the Huaorani tribe in the Amazon, and as a social worker with homeless people and children in care.

Furthermore, ever since I worked at a palliative care hospital when I was 20, I have felt honoured to accompany people on their journey to the other side of the veil during their final weeks or months of life.

On a personal level, I have walked the paths that I now help others to heal from. I experienced the loss of my twin sister and suffered from Lone Twin Syndrome. I overcame C-PTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), bullying at school, work-related burnout, anxiety and panic attacks (triggered by a combination of medications). And a long period of ill health led me to go through my own dark night of the soul and rediscover the meaning of life.

I am a HSP (highly sensitive person), an empath (hyper-empathetic) and I am gifted.

I have lived in five countries, and in my twenties I travelled round the world on my own for almost three years, travelling without a mobile phone, with just my rucksack, on what was an intense and truly eye-opening spiritual quest.

Connection

For as long as I can remember, I have had a close connection with the other side of the veil. As a child, I felt afraid, but as I grew up and studied spirituality, I began to understand and come to terms with what I was feeling, whilst my clairvoyant abilities gradually developed.

Ever since then, I constantly receive information about my surroundings or whatever I focus my attention on. These perceptions come to me in the form of emotions, bodily sensations, or thoughts brimming with information not immediately apparent.

I also practise meditation and automatic writing to connect with my spiritual guides (my ancestors, ascended masters, angels and my power animal), which gives me a higher perspective on the therapeutic process for the people who come to me for guidance.
